Honestly, I have no words. It is impossible because I am numb from the call from that Sunday morning, 8/8/2021. What can I say or write about someone who is so dear to you and is now gone? What can I say or write about someone who was a perfect child, who matured before his age, intelligent, responsible, considerate, who had personal qualities that I consider many adults lacked? What can I say or write about someone who was diagnosed with the deadly disease and still carry on with a positive attitude? You would not let your pain show and focus on the science treating it. You told me you were willing to be a test subject for the advancement of science so others will benefit in the future. Not once did I hear you complain about your disease or the pain you went through but willing to go through with any procedures to the end. What can I put into words about someone who was near perfect in any way whose life is about to take off into a very bright future, a useful contributor to society? It hurts. It’s a numbing loss to family beyond words. The only comfort for me is knowing that you are in a better place. You are with our God almighty. Knowing you, I know you are probably smiling right now, looking down and protecting us.
We love you Anthony
